The purpose of the General Nursing Programme is to prepare a general nurse
who will to function as a member of the healthcare team beginning with competencies
for the basic level position in both the hospital and community.
The program is geared to the health needs of the country, the community and
the individual; and it will serve as a basis for advanced study and specialization in
nursing; it will assist nurses in their personal and professional development enabling
them to make their maximum contribution to the society as individual citizens and
nurses
3 years covering intensive theory classes, attending
observation and supervised practice
Pass in PUC / 12th or equivalent with 40 % aggregate
marks (Any stream).
